OPL Academy Graduates 359 Technicians

It was an exciting day for both staff and students as OPL Academy graduated 359 technicians from its Lagos State on-campus training program. The training program was organized in partnership with the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB) and the Livelihood Impact Fund (LIF) and held over the course of two months across the five technical colleges in Lagos state including Epe, Ado Soba, Agidingbi, Ikotun and Ikorodu.

At the graduation event, outstanding students from the various technical colleges were awarded tool boxes and certificates in recognition of their achievements. Awards were also presented to LASTVEB and the principals of the government technical colleges for their unwavering support.

Feyijimi, one of the graduating technicians, commented on the event saying:

I thank OPL Academy for the Artisan Empowerment Program and its partners that have made this program possible. It was a good wrap up for my technical education because I have gained the necessary skills to stand out in the labor market.

The graduation ceremony was followed by a job fair to give graduates access to job opportunities. Participating organizations included Construction Kaiser, Stepris Nigeria Limited and Cyrus Furniture.
