Lagos State Awards OPL Academy at Equal Summit

During the 2022 Education Summit, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu, presented a Gold Award to OPL Academy in recognition of the Academy's contribution and support to the growth and development of education in Lagos State.

Commenting on the award, Oare Ehiemua-Ochui stated: “It has been an amazing journey so far and we are grateful for the exemplary work of the OPL Academy team and the generous contributions from our partners. Our journey of impacting lives continues as we aim to fill the skills gap and improve the lives of underserved artisans in Nigeria.”

The summit, titled "Equity, Quality, Ubiquity, and Access in Learning (EQUAL)," brought together various public sector and private sector players to discuss progress made in advancing education in the State. It also provided an opportunity for the Governor to express gratitude to private sector partners who strategically supported the Ministry of Education's Education Transformation Plan, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
