10 things you should know about Busayo
It is always exciting to catch up with our alumni. This month we decided to spotlight Busayo, one of OPL's first batch of alumni.
My name is Soladoye Oluwabusayo Isaiah
I work in electrical installation and maintenance.
I am very passionate about electricity which is why I decided to become an electrician.
I work as an electrical technician at Megawatts Nigeria Ltd
I got the job at Megawatts Nigeria Ltd through OPL Academy a month after training with the academy.
As an electrical technician in the construction space, some of my activities include fixing and burying boxes, laying pipes, cabling, fixing fittings and many other things.
My proudest moment as a tradesman is when I get the opportunity to put into practice the soft skills I learnt at OPL Academy.
I love learning and I desire to become an outstanding artisan which is why I decided to enol at OPL Academy in the first place.
My most memorable experience at OPL Academy was the training on effective communication by our first facilitator Mr Victor. He taught us how best to communicate with a customer to obtain appropriate feedback.
One thing I learnt during my training at OPL Academy that has impacted my work especially in the area of communication is the 5ws (who, what, why, where, when) and H (how), which I try to put into practice in communicating with those around me.
