OPL Academy Partners with LASTVEB

April 26, 2021 - OPL Academy has partnered with the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB) to provide on-campus training to over 200 students across the five technical colleges in Lagos State. The colleges are situated in various parts of the state including Ikorodu, Ikotun, Ado Soba, Epe and Agidinbi.

As a result of the partnership arrangement, OPL Academy is now well-positioned to prepare young technical college graduates across Lagos State for apprenticeship placements within top construction companies in Nigeria.

The partnership agreement, which was signed in a closed-door ceremony at the LASTVEB head office in Ikeja, was attended by the Executive Secretary of LASTVEB, Mrs. Morenike Azeez and the CEO of OPL Academy, Mrs. Oare Ehiemua-Ochui.

Commenting on the event, Oare Ehiemua, CEO of OPL Academy stated “Talent sourcing in the construction industry, particularly at the artisan level, is still very unstructured. We are very excited about our partnership with LASTVEB, which will give us a unique opportunity to work with recent graduates who are only just emerging in their careers and to give them access to opportunities they will otherwise not be able to find.”
